Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of architectural components and their interrelationships.
- Proficiency in Architectural Principles and methods.
- Strong presentation and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with good judgment.
- Experience in providing technical leadership to solution delivery teams.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Bachelor’s degree required; post-graduate degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Understand and align with Jabil’s business strategy and IT objectives.
- Define and drive the overall solution architecture consistent with Jabil’s methodology.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to customers, project managers, domain architects, domain specialists, and application engineers.
- Consult and collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Senior IT Architects to design and deliver optimal solutions.
- Build trust with clients and management through effective communication and leadership.
- Evaluate and analyze key accounts to develop strategic roadmaps for technology optimization.
- Ensure non-functional requirements such as security, disaster recovery, availability, and performance are met.
- Research and stay updated on technology and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- Validate solutions through modeling or prototyping before full implementation.
- Utilize methodologies like Lean Six Sigma to identify and guide organizational improvement opportunities.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement remediation actions.
- Develop project plans and influence project organization.
- Apply recognized system sizing methodologies.
- Manage changes in scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
- Crosstrain staff to reduce delivery risk and ensure process continuity.
- Define processes and methods necessary to support delivery and deployment.
- Define technical job content and qualifications for key roles supporting the technical infrastructure.
- Work closely with management to assess and develop staff skill sets.
- Assist in resolving staffing knowledge gaps.
- Publish and present information to customers, IT leaders, and business executives.
- Engage with vendors and third parties as needed.
- Organize and communicate ideas clearly in both verbal and written formats.
- Foster a collaborative environment by encouraging input from staff and developing peer relationships with Senior IT Architects.
