Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Must be able to pass DHS entry on duty (EOD) requirements to start and maintain Public Trust suitability status
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, International Relations, or related field and 5+ years of experience in analytical roles supporting law enforcement operations
- Demonstrated experience with advanced analytical methods and techniques
- Proven ability to evaluate information from multiple sources and develop comprehensive reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations to senior leadership
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and directives governing homeland security operations
- Position will require occasional travel.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate information from diverse sources including automated database systems, operational reports, case files, and various internal and external systems
- Collect, collate, and synthesize raw, primary, and secondary data to produce comprehensive analytical products
- Evaluate incoming reports and information to perform interpretations, assessments, and strategic projections
- Prepare basic to complex descriptive analytical reports to inform operational and strategic planning
- Develop and deliver presentations, in conjunction with team members, to effectively communicate findings to senior leadership
- Communicate with various internal and external law enforcement partners and community members to gain better understanding of sources, operations, missions, and requirements
- Ensure all activities comply with laws, regulations, executive orders, and directives promulgated by Congress
- Identify emerging trends and patterns relevant to homeland security priorities, particularly in immigration enforcement
- Provide analytical support for complex investigations and operations
- Contribute subject matter expertise to enhance analytical methodologies and practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Public Trust designation
- Active security clearance
- Retired law enforcement professional, with emphasis on immigration law enforcement experience
- Advanced degree in relevant field
- Experience in cyber, national security, science, or other related fields
- Knowledge of database systems and analytical tools used in homeland security contexts
- Experience working in multi-agency collaborative environments
- Background in threat assessment and risk analysis
