Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 2 years of relevant experience required
- Successful completion of a background check required
- Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen
Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities for the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP)
- Organizes and provides support for coursework and other didactics within the MSTP
- Works in the Student Information System (SIS), Carmen/Canvas, Microsoft Teams, and other educational platforms
- Secures classroom space, maintains course creation and deletion, enrollment monitoring, curricular updates, and support to faculty with tracking and grading
- Supports MSTP admissions, outreach initiatives and events in collaboration with individual program leaders
- Provides administrative support to MSTP student/trainee organizations and groups, including coordination of elections, newsletters, and student spotlight for marketing and communication purposes
- Interfaces with both internal stakeholders and external partners
- Oversees Individual Development Plan (IDP) process
- Monitors and reports aberrations in trainee milestone progression
- Serves as liaison with Bioethics for MSTP Roundtable experience and MSTP Bioethics course
- Maintains course list/curricular requirements in MSTP Handbook
- Coordinates logistical support for all information sessions
- Monitors clinical preceptorship program (CPP), professional development sessions, education/training, scheduling meetings and correspondence with student cohorts about scheduling and tracking progress
- Performs other duties as assigned
