Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in market research, marketing, business, sociology, psychology, behavioral economics, or a like field.
- 4+ years of experience in a primary market research role on either the supplier side or client side within the marketing research profession.
- Experience planning and executing qualitative & quantitative studies.
Responsibilities
- Leverage the depth and breadth of your knowledge and expertise in primary and secondary research to help Capital One conduct research designed to inform product and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to develop custom research studies, powerful learning agendas, and own the marketing research & insights roadmap.
- Synthesize data into actionable insights, wrapped in compelling storytelling, to educate and influence peers and leaders across various lines of business.
- Actively monitor and analyze research, data and trends from internal and industry sources, academic research and published reports to inform and improve research methods and insights.
- Periodically perform data pulls and ad-hoc analyses to inform key business decisions.
- Leverage analytics tools and techniques, in partnership with other insight disciplines (e.g. Design Research, Data Analytics, Brand Measurement), to measure success, triangulate insights and develop a shared understanding of our target prospects and customers – in turn identifying and presenting opportunities and supporting decision making and prioritization.
- Actively seek and evaluate new approaches for uncovering meaningful insights.
- Manage a sizable research budget, which will involve close tracking, reporting, and invoicing on an ongoing basis.
- Support execution of company-wide exercises to build empathy for our current and prospect customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in data storytelling & influence.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
- Experience running & facilitating workshops.
- Experience working with analytical tools such as Python, R, SAS, SPSS, SQL or similar relational database tools.
