Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or technical field
- 5+ years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively at multiple levels (direct reports, peers, executive leaders, and customers)
- Proven track record of execution in a development environment
Responsibilities
- Leads team members performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
- Mentoring and coaching all levels of engineers providing knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next generation of leaders and engineers
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
- Provides specific guidance to team members to ensure effective performance.
- Demonstrates basic ability to state what is needed to persuade and convince others without causing defensiveness and to inspire others to take action.
- Builds relationships to gain support and commitment from others, promotes ideas with enthusiasm and conviction.
- Be responsible for overall planning, execution, and success of complex projects.
- Forecast resource needs and hire/develop appropriate personnel to meet project and daily operating requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a Proprietary Program
- Technical experience in complex mission systems development and integration on tactical aircraft
- Experience applying Program Management Best Practices (PMBPs) to include project planning / scheduling and applying Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Experience executing in an Agile work environment and implementing Agile Methodologies
- Experience working in MSOSA, Cameo, or similar Model Based Systems Engineering tools
- Experience across multiple phases of the product life-cycle
- Experience with Mission Systems Open Architecture Standards
