Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other appropriate technical education or experience equivalent.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Competent computer skills – with advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as Infor LN.
- Full working knowledge of EIPA, CGP and DPA (ITAR and other regulations an asset).
- Experience in Jurisdiction and Classification Determination.
- Experience with working with large amounts of data and performing analysis.
- Able to work with tight deadlines, setbacks and changes in policies.
- Self-starter; able to work autonomously with limited oversight as well as in teams.
- Communicate and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge through study, experience, training, etc.
- Effective interpersonal, leadership and communications skills.
- Analytical and reasoning; decision making with business acumen.
Responsibilities
- Conduct export jurisdiction and classification reviews and determinations of hardware and technical data under Canada’s Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA) and Controlled Goods Program (CGP) / Defence Production Act (DPA).
- Create and edit BoMs based on documentation and changes.
- Review technical drawings and documentation.
- Review and support supplier, customer and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) classifications for export and/or import.
- Collaborate with other departments to support questions and issues related to BoMs and Standards.
- Other job responsibilities as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Training in Configuration Management Systems and/or Requirements Management an asset.
- Working experience in the aerospace / defense industry is asset.
