Requirements
- 3-9 years of experience in an analytics focused role – analytics engineer, data engineer or analyst / consultant with a strong engineering background
- Expert at answering product questions & crafting narratives with data
- Expert with SQL, dbt, Python, Looker/Omni and other common analytics tools
- Eager to move fast & drive impact — you’d rather build an imperfect data model quickly that is used by many people than a perfect data model that collects dust
- Expertise at both defining the right metrics as well as diagnosing and understanding data inconsistencies
- Strong communication with the ability to build meaningful stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous cross-functional projects across Product, GTM, and Finance
- Big picture thinking while still delivering on the details
- Experience in a B2B / commercial environment
Responsibilities
- Establish scalable data foundations by designing and implementing robust data models, pipelines, and processes to support product and company-wide analytics at Harvey.
- Partner with Product, Exec Team, GTM, & Finance to create and maintain standard dashboards that measure business health
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their business needs and lead end-to-end analysis workflows that includes data discovery and extraction (via SQL or APIs), analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables, and presentations
- Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with engineering to jointly lead data architecture decisions, co-design data schemas, and implement orchestration strategies that optimize pipeline reliability and data warehouse performance
- Analyze and synthesize competitive dynamics and customer insights to uncover strategic growth opportunities, driving experimentation and continuous optimization across the business opportunities to improve our business
