Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of paralegal experience in employment and litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, including the EEOC and general corporate and business litigation.
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures and ability to assist in all stages of the litigation process.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full range of paralegal services to RVO Health Legal, Privacy and Compliance team and Human Resources team.
  • Assist with employment matters, such as EEOC charges, employee relations, discrimination and harassment allegations, and unfair competition.
  • Prepare and revise legal documents, such as contracts, non-disclosure agreements, employment agreements, separation agreements, pleadings, witness statements, discovery, while ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Assist in the organization, indexing, and maintenance of case-related documents, including correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and exhibits.
  • Prepare materials for cases by compiling and organizing evidence, witness statements, and other related materials.
  • Assist in affirmative action compliance, including coordinating with internal stakeholders to analyze workforce data, identify areas for improvement, recommend action plans, and monitor implementation and training.
  • Support legal privacy team with company-wide requests and consent/ opt-out management.
  • Research case laws, statutes, and legal precedents to support Legal as they provide advice and counsel on employment issues and policies.
  • Monitor legal publications, industry news, and other reliable sources to identify and analyze any changes that may impact ongoing or future litigation cases.
  • Maintain and update case files and organizational system to track case progress, deadlines, and important milestones.
  • Prepare materials for Legal meetings and training sessions.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and share relevant information.
  • Compile information and assist in reviewing and responding to third-party subpoenas.
  • Assist with client communication and following up on inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to Legal related to legal matters, including coordinating meetings, creating presentations, updating and/or creating forms and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with Legal and HR projects and perform other assigned duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited paralegal program (optional).
  • Familiarity with privacy laws, practices and OneTrust (optional).
