Requirements
- Hands-on Python development skills.
- Understanding of localization, internationalization, and end-to-end operations.
- Experience in building, training, and fine-tuning MT and LLM models.
- Knowledge of GenAI and its integration into localization tech stacks.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive MT and LLM programs that serve both Uber’s internal operations and external clients.
- Build seamless integration points between Uber’s internal services and tools, connecting them to our MT/LLM pipeline.
- Act as a technical liaison for customers and external clients, gathering requirements and discussing potential integration points.
- Establish and define MT-only and MT + LLM best practices for all clients to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in localization efforts.
- Work closely with Localization Operations (LocOps) and ML/LLM/AI engineers to select, evaluate, analyze, train, and deploy the most effective MT and LLM models.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Computer Science degree or equivalent.
- Experience working in the high-tech industry with at least 10,000 employees, whether from a client or vendor perspective.
- Led several programs spanning two or more quarters, involving 2+ cross-team collaborations.
- Understanding of NLP and proficiency in writing Python scripts using PyTorch and other Python ML libraries.
