Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in integrated maintenance, sustainment, and product support)
- Minimum of 3 years of integrated maintenance, sustainment, and product support experience
- Understanding of U.S. military organizations, maintenance and sustainment processes and environment
- Military or DoD related industry experience
- Ability to travel as needed
- Must have or qualify for a U.S. Government Secret Clearance
- Ability to work full time on-site at GE Aerospace headquarters in Cincinnati, OH; due to security requirements there are restricted work from home or remote opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Participate in integrated maintenance, sustainment, and product support teams
- Work with airframe integrator and DoD customers to establish sustainment strategies and supportability requirements that are levied onto the propulsion system design
- Work with systems and design engineering organizations to ensure the maturing propulsion system architecture meets sustainment requirements and strategies
- Support identification of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) requirements and work with controls engineering organizations to develop Prognostics and Health Monitoring (PHM) capabilities
- Ensure the proper levels of readiness and product support are provided during flight testing campaigns
- Support identification of spare parts requirements, forecasting, and management
- Partner and work cross-functionally with maintainability, reliability, safety, supportability, and human factors engineers
- Support the establishment and activation of organizational, intermediate, and depot maintenance and sustainment
- Participate in establishment of digital sustainment capabilities (e.g., model-based sustainment) that integrate with existing or new digital infrastructure
- Provide input on the design and engineering of support equipment and the authoring of technical manuals and training
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience working with, or for the U.S. military in aircraft maintenance, operation, or sustainment of propulsion systems
- Prior military experience as a maintenance officer or enlisted aircraft maintenance technician
- Demonstrated ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
- Experience with maintenance or sustainment of 5th generation military aircraft
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects i.e., certified PMP
- Familiarity with turbine engine operation and demonstrated knowledge of maintenance and sustainment processes for military turbine engines
- Current Active U.S. Government Secret
