Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive purchasing, procurement, and experience.
- Experience utilizing engineering drawings and CAD models for quoting, sourcing, and purchasing materials and equipment
- Experience managing contracts and agreements
- 10% Domestic and International involved
- Eligible to work in the US
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills working in a diverse technology driven environment
- Personal knowledge of effective supply chain management
- Hands on knowledge of supplier performance monitoring to drive cost, quality, and delivery
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated proficiency using data analytics tools
- Proficiency with MRP/ERP software and systems; experience using Deltek software
Responsibilities
- Review, track and process Purchase Requests, ensuring correct payment terms, delivery schedule and quality/inspection standards.
- Engage in contract negotiation when needed to ensure competitive cost and schedule.
- Issue Purchase Orders
- Support internal customer issues and training for the ordering process
- Ensure that deliverables are in line with the contractual terms (cost, time, quality).
- Obtain quotes and perform Requests for Information (RFI)
- Set and achieve targets around lead time reduction, cost reduction and product quality.
- Lead project teams within the framework of regional and/or single-division procurement projects, contribute to the control of the demand, challenge, approve the specifications and run the supplier selection processes within the defined boundaries.
- Negotiate, establish and implement project contracts.
- Monitor savings linked to demand management and procurement performance
- Ensure compliance with the procurement strategy and other FAR/DFAR flow downs. Ensure proper contract documents are flowed down to suppliers
- Secure long-term alignment of the preferred supplier base
- Provide the MFT’s and GPB with strategically relevant input to support strategy development.
- Ensure compliance with Procurement processes.
- Respect and comply with rules and processes defined by the Commodity Management organization to ensure correct execution of tactical and transactional procurement activities to full customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the implementation of new procurement techniques such as e-procurement and e-catalogues, as needed.
- Develop and maintain an efficient supply chain capable of delivering goods/work packages (services)
- Ensure continuous commercial relationships with suppliers in order to secure work with best-in-class suppliers and protect Airbus Group from contractual risks.
- Support supplier setup process and ensure proper payment terms, appropriate level of quality controls and adherence to industry best practices
- Follow-up contracts with contract reviews within Airbus Group’s internal customer base and suppliers, based on consistent and factual KPIs, evaluate and improve suppliers’ performance in terms of time, costs and quality.
- Assess suppliers’ overall performance and the impact of weak performance on Airbus Group; and initiate recovery actions when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISM, APICS or related professional certification
- Technical proficiency with Jira/Confluence, BI Reporting tools
