Requirements
- 8+ years of practicing law at a top-tier firm, in-house, and/or in government
- J.D. and authorized to practice law in the U.S. state where you are located
- Familiarity with launching products and advising on the legal and regulatory aspects of product development in the technology sector
- Comfortable interacting with federal, state, and local regulators
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior business leaders
- Proven ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
- Ability to work autonomously while exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Provide Labs product, engineering, and operations teams with pragmatic day-to-day and strategic advice to minimize legal risks while advancing business goals and initiatives
- Serve as the lead product and regulatory attorney for the Labs team, advising on federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to drone delivery, robot delivery, and other automation and hardware technologies
- Oversee commercial deals that are critical inputs to operations and product development
- Serve as liaison between the Labs team and relevant legal team experts
- Synthesize input from outside counsel, your own research, and feedback from internal stakeholders to provide practical guidance applicable to the team
