Requirements
- B.S. degree in civil engineering or equivalent with work experience
- EIT preferred
- 3 to 6+ years’ experience in environmental/civil engineering including experience in stream and wetland restoration design
- A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Working knowledge of CADD software (Civil 3D preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to investigate storm drainage issues and support stormwater management designs
- Provide engineering assistance for the design of best management practices (BMPs), low impact development (LID) solutions, natural stream restoration, and other stormwater related projects
- Provide technical expertise and check accuracy of all completed work
- Prepare project specifications to include materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a project
- Conduct background research on technical issues and write clear reports and memorandums
- Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems
- Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates
- Complete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed
- Communicate with clients and internal design team as directed by the Project Manager
