Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise security, identity and access management, or cybersecurity leadership roles.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams, including security architects, engineers, and/or technical leads.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, secure, and standards-compliant Enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) programs aligned with federal cybersecurity mandates such as NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
  • Partner to develop and maintain enterprise identity and security architecture roadmaps, aligning technical design with Zero Trust initiatives and federal mission objectives.
  • Lead the architecture and modeling of RBAC, PBAC, IGA, and PAM frameworks across federal systems, ensuring appropriate entitlements, separation of duties, and policy enforcement mechanisms.
  • Participate in and lead architectural discussions and working groups, ensuring proposed enterprise & identity solutions meet security standards, technical requirements, and compliance objectives.
  • Conduct technical assessments and comparative analyses of IT (e.g., Collaboration technologies, endpoint) and IAM architecture and tools (e.g., LDAP, Okta, Public Cloud providers), and provide design recommendations to support solution and integration planning.
  • Design and architect scalable enterprise identity architectures, including AuthN (authentication), AuthZ (authorization), MFA, and lifecycle management technologies for secure access across federal systems and cloud environments.
  • Partner with non-federal Enterprise security and identity product management and architecture to ensure alignment of process, technologies, and architecture within the federal space.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and mentor for junior engineers, guiding the consistent adoption of best practices in federal identity architecture and enterprise security design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Familiarity with federal regulatory compliances & controls.
  • Proven success in navigating federal compliance requirements related to IT security and Identity security.
  • Solid understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, including identity as the core perimeter, and integration across networks, endpoints, and cloud services.
  • Familiarity with RBAC, PBAC, ILM, PAM and identity governance frameworks (IGA).
  • General knowledge of Corporate/IT systems and their use within designed systems for use within Federal environments and ensuring alignment with non-federal architectures.
  • Experience leading multi-functional teams, including architects and engineers.
  • Strong ability to translate technical requirements into business strategies and articulate solutions to both technical and non-technical customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executives, collaborate across departments, and lead enterprise-level federal IT and identity initiatives.
