Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Experience with capital contributions, job costing, and financial topics in a growing company environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, CostPoint); experience with CostPoint is a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) knowledge preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare revenue billing, revenue recognition, and related transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and resolving them in a timely manner.
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met, and financial statements are prepared accurately.
- Analyze financial data and report on key performance metrics to support management decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as operations, sales, and finance) to provide insights on financial performance and ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc accounting and finance projects as needed, including process improvements and system enhancements.
Preferred Qualifications
- DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) knowledge preferred
- Experience with CostPoint is a plus
