Requirements
- BS degree in Engineering or relevant military experience
- Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- At least three (3) years of experience in a Spectrum Management or Spectrum Engineering position or experience as an Enlisted Frequency Manager, Navy Enlisted Classification Code (NEC) 2301
- Familiarity with Spectrum XXI, SFAFs, Host Nation Coordination, Equipment Spectrum Certification, EL-CID, and SSRAs
- Knowledge of and experience with DoD spectrum regulatory processes
- Knowledge of and experience with national, DoD spectrum certification, and frequency assignment processes
- Experience and proficiency with spectrum management tools and databases
- Knowledge of and experience with national and international spectrum tables of allocations
- Knowledge of and experience with spectrum reallocation and spectrum sharing
Responsibilities
- Initiate, research, review, and submit spectrum documentation including SSRAs, SFAFs, Host Nation Coordination, and ESC requests (DD1494 forms)
- Research and evaluate characteristics and performance criteria for spectrum dependent systems and equipment
- Initiate, submit, and track frequency requests and assignments for systems utilizing electromagnetic spectrum via Spectrum XXI
- Track and submit requests for renewals to avoid gaps in spectrum support for testing, training, and fleet operations
- Support experimental and developmental frequency proposals for naval systems testing at NAS Patuxent River, and other test and operational locations as required
- Coordinate with federal, non-federal, military, and other officials of US and foreign countries in support of E3 spectrum efforts
- Navigate and search spectrum and frequency allocation databases for information on systems for which spectrum support may be needed
