Requirements

  • 1200 hours total time
  • 500 hours PIC in category
  • 500 hours turbine time
  • 100 hours of cross-country flight time, at least 25 hours of which were at night
  • 50 hours actual or simulated instrument time in flight and in category
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or ATP: Rotorcraft, Helicopter
  • Current Class I or II medical certificate

Responsibilities

  • Operates assigned aircraft in a safe and legal manner at all times (100%)
  • Perform Aircraft preservation ground runs
  • Perform Aircraft post maintenance ground runs
  • Completes pre-flight before every flight verifying the aircraft is in an airworthy condition
  • Perform a complete walk around of the aircraft prior to entering the cockpit for flight and upon completion of each flight
  • Perform Aircraft post maintenance operational flights for RTS (Return To Service) per OEM and regulatory requirements
  • Ferry aircraft as directed
  • Complies with PIC duties and responsibilities in the Air Methods GOM
  • Responsible for ensuring all aircraft systems and installed equipment are airworthy and operationally functional when released for revenue service
  • Final authority with regard to operations of aircraft and for the safety of crew, passengers, cargo and equipment
  • Responsible for completion of required documentation
  • Able to conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
  • 2-5 years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred)
  • Previous experience in dedicated maintenance support, or as production or post-maintenance test pilot preferred
  • Previous Part 135 experience preferred
