Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
  • 8-12 years of transportation drainage experience
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • A track-record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize, work on, and advance multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydraulic and hydrology (H&H) analyses and design for transportation projects
  • Prepare drainage reports in conformance with client and industry standards
  • Assist with plan production related to drainage design, stormwater management and detention facilities, water quality/MS4, quantities and specifications
  • Contribute to project goals and milestones and monitor project progress
  • Assist in preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, studies, reports, construction drawings/plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of stormwater design and planning projects
  • Ensure the development of high-quality engineering documents
  • Adhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking
  • Assist with project pursuits

Preferred Qualifications

  • PE License preferred
  • A history of progressive responsibility in transportation/roadway drainage design
  • Thorough understanding of state, regional, and special district design standards (preferred)
  • Experience developing storm water management plans and water quality design/MS4 (preferred)
  • Experience with plan production related to transportation projects (preferred)
  • Experience developing deliverables per FDOT standards and requirements (preferred)
