Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or Ph.D. in Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Science or related field, Physics or Mathematics with a focus on signal process, algorithm development and/or optimization
  • 4+ years of related experience in PNT technology required
  • Proficiency with GNSS system and technology
  • Understanding of GNSS receivers and software defined radios
  • Experience with signal processing, control systems, optimization and error correction algorithms
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, MATLAB
  • Familiarity with simulation tools and platforms for PNT system testing and validation
  • Able to obtain/maintain a Secret DOD clearance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team-based collaborative work environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design and integrate PNT algorithms and systems, involving GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems), Inertial navigation systems (INS), and timing solutions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain advanced algorithms for sensor fusion, statistical anomaly detection and correction, and signal processing to enhance PNT accuracy and reliability (e.g. Kalman Filtering, Bayesian estimation, etc.)
  • Analyze GNSS receivers, optimizing systems for signal accuracy, system stability, and data integrity
  • Model, simulate, and analyze the signal processing chain for GNSS receivers and software-defined-radio platforms, assessing signals for anomalies
  • Perform software and algorithm development, in C++, MATLAB, and/or Python, for both real-time systems and modeling & simulation efforts in PNT
  • Establish frameworks and simulations to predict and test the performance of PNT algorithms and systems in various environments
  • Perform experimentation and prototyping of new PNT technologies and threat mitigation capabilities
  • Develop models and simulations of PNT sensors, including inertial measurement units and GNSS receivers, in support of integration within PNT products
  • Conduct extensive testing and validation of PNT systems in laboratory and field environments, analyzing performance metrics and troubleshoot issues
  • Prepare, maintain, and present detailed technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans
  • Stay current with the advancements in PNT technologies and applications, contributing to the continuous improvement of products and solution
  • Work cross-functionally with team members to develop and implement new PNT capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Documented active US Government Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher highly preferred
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
