Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in HR with specialized expertise in benefits administration and leave management
- Experience managing full-cycle onboarding and offboarding processes
- In-depth knowledge of benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs
- Proven experience managing complex leave programs and accommodations processes
- Working knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, ERISA, ACA)
- Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with employees at all levels
Responsibilities
- Lead the administration and optimization of our employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, and retirement offerings
- Manage all aspects of employee leaves (FMLA, disability, parental, medical, etc.) from intake to return-to-work processes
- Support all People programs and initiatives across the employee lifecycle
- Execute and enhance onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for employees
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions, enrollment, and utilization
- Drive open enrollment processes and ensure clear, effective communication of benefits to employees
- Evaluate and recommend new benefit initiatives that align with company culture and employee needs
- Partner with the People team to support HR initiatives including employee relations and HR compliance
- Maintain accurate records in HRIS systems and prepare reports related to benefits utilization and leave management
- Monitor compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, such as FMLA, ERISA, ADA, and ACA
- Assist with HR policies and procedures development and implementation
- Collaborate with Recruiting to support the new hire process and communicate benefits information to candidates
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in tech or healthcare environments preferred
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) a plus
