Requirements

  • JD, MBA or BA in Economics, Finance, Sustainability, Human Capital, Human Resources, Sustainable Accounting or related fields or equivalent years of industry experience
  • 8+ years of experience with consulting, project management, client services, writing, and communications
  • 6+ years experience identifying, implementing, and/or support ESG and sustainability initiatives
  • Deep expertise with ESG standards, frameworks, and ratings including TCFD, SASB, CDP, UN Sustainable Development Goals, GRI, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, etc.
  • Proven track record in client service, business development, people development and leadership, and general consulting acumen
  • Strong research, analytical, and data analytics skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and database management
  • Interest in financial markets, corporate strategy, ESG, and investor relations

Responsibilities

  • Oversee ESG engagements, manage client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines, and lead change efforts effectively
  • Support growth and development of Riveron’s ESG practice, working alongside business leaders to help identify and measure ESG risks and opportunities for individual clients and the broader market
  • Demonstrate deep working knowledge of Riveron’s practices and sub offerings and support business development opportunities via personal network
  • Lead and facilitate material delivery with clients by setting and distributing agendas, preparing appropriate client presentations, guiding discussion, answering client questions, and more
  • Oversee the creation of a variety of deliverables ranging from project kickoff materials, benchmarking decks, research memorandums, project status updates, and more
  • Lead team members and ensure individual contributors are on track to deliver high-quality materials on time
  • Manage client ESG disclosure for tracking and reporting ESG performance to various stakeholders
  • Assist with ESG peer benchmarking, data mining, and chart building as part of broader projects and analyses
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Riveron and our client point(s) of contact
  • Serve as the primary source of quality assurance and review for materials or deliverables built by team members
  • Mentor, train, and develop the future leaders of the ESG practice; assess performance of teams and provide timely and constructive feedback

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications related to SASB or TCFD is preferred
