Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health care related, IPO or HMO required.
- Minimum of 1 year in a supervisor capacity is required.
- BLS certificate required
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the centralized referral team and in-clinic referral operations.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely data entry of referral requests into the appropriate portal(s).
- Auditing the close-the-loop process for managed/non-managed care referrals.
- Auditing and monitoring all daily operational functions to effectively process pre-authorization requests for multiple contracted health plans.
- Maintaining data sets on referral trends and cost analysis.
- Working as a liaison between leaders, providers and Medical Management to ensure timely access to specialty care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certificate is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
