Requirements
- Strong foundation in manufacturing process development and new product transition (NPT).
- Practical experience with assembly, tooling, and/or test of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with engineering change processes and product lifecycle management tools.
- Solid understanding of DFx (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze test data and operational performance.
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain methods and process flows to build complex assemblies efficiently and with high quality.
- Partner with the NPT PM to execute pilot and volume builds, incorporating feedback from manufacturing, quality, and test teams to close gaps and improve readiness.
- Apply DFx principles to reduce costs, simplify assembly, and improve quality and serviceability.
- Interface with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Test Engineering, and Quality to align on manufacturing requirements and execute on readiness plans.
- Launch and implement engineering changes that support product maturation and improve manufacturability.
- Gather operational data, lead root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring issues.
- Assist in defining test specifications and procedures.
- Support development and maintenance of work instructions, build documentation, and process standards.
- Support risk analysis during design reviews to identify failure points before they impact production.
- Engage directly with technicians and assemblers on the floor to resolve issues in real time during builds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting pilot or volume builds in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Hands-on experience working on the manufacturing floor with technicians or assemblers.
- Exposure to semiconductor capital equipment or complex system integration is a plus.
