Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, or other programming languages commonly used for data processing and cloud application development
  • Experience deploying data pipelines within scalable cloud applications, preferably on platforms such as AWS and Spark
  • Strong understanding of geospatial data concepts and tools (PostGIS, QGIS) and ideally also with some map data formats (e.g. GeoJSON, Mapbox Vector Tile Format, OpenUSD, OpenDRIVE, Mathworks Matlab RoadRunner)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Early morning availability to maximize time zone overlaps with teams in Europe

Responsibilities

  • Implement a new data publication service (data format, layers, tiles) for our 3D/HD data for self driving vehicles
  • Expand data publication for ADAS and Navigation map data for additional data and new formats
  • Code and implement data processing and conversion within cloud applications, leveraging technologies such as Python, SQL, AWS, and Spark, while ensuring high scalability and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with multiple R&D teams to integrate our data seamlessly into our products
  • Engage directly with leading customers, including automotive OEMs in the EU, US, and Japan, as well as suppliers such as Tier 1 automotive companies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the mapping, navigation, or automotive industries
  • Knowledge in some of the following map data formats is highly desirable: GeoJSON, Mapbox Vector Tile Format, NDS.Live, OpenUSD, OpenDRIVE, Mathworks Matlab RoadRunner
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques for geospatial data analysis
  • Contributions to open-source projects related to geospatial data or data analysis
