Description
Dr. Anne Berry’s laboratory at Brandeis University is looking for a full-time data analysis Senior Research Assistant. This researcher will manage the storage, organization and processing of longitudinal neuroimaging and behavioral datasets. The position will involve training in data processing for a wide array brain imaging modalities including magnetic resonance imaging (structural, fMRI, ASL, MR spectroscopy) and positron emission tomography (reversible and irreversible tracers). Research questions focus on cognitive aging and early detection of Alzheimer’s disease. This position is ideal for individuals with strong coding skills and who enjoy problem solving and learning new things. This research assistant will work within a large collaborative team with opportunities to train/mentor others or develop independent research projects.
Job Responsibilities –
Preprocesses MRI and PET neuroimaging data
Oversees scoring and data entry of behavioral studies
Assists lab members developing new analyses
Independent research project
Expected commitment for this position is 2 years, but the position may be extended. The position will begin as early as May 2025, though the start date is flexible.

Job Requirement:
Bachelors Degree required in Psychology, Neuroscience, Computer Science or related field, Bachelors or higher is strongly preferred.
3-5 years of prior research experience is required.
Attention to detail and strong communication skills
Proficiency with R and standard computer programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, csh, bash) preferred.
Prior experience with neuroimaging analysis software (e.g. AFNI, FSL, SPM, FreeSurfer) preferred.
