What is the position? Evercore Wealth Management, LLC and Evercore Trust Company, N.A. are seeking a motivated and capable individual to support a team of Wealth and Fiduciary Advisors in the Tampa office. This individual will serve as an additional point of contact to clients and their external advisors (e.g. CPA, attorney) and will provide support on day‐to‐day requirements, preparation for client meetings and compliance reviews.
Primary Responsibilities: Initially, candidates will primarily work on administrative tasks and functions, supporting the management of the office, graduating over time into a role also tasked with independently reviewing trust documents, preparing summaries, creating cash flow analyses and participating in broader financial planning strategies and client meetings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with Wealth and Fiduciary Advisors to anticipate tasks that need to be completed for clients
- Communicate confidently, being able to act as a highly trusted day‐to‐day contact person for clients in support of senior professionals
- Respond quickly and accurately to receipt of incoming client requests including cash and stock gifts, money movement transfers, and general account maintenance such as address changes, conversion to electronic statements, etc.
- Prepare correspondence to clients relating to day‐to‐day transactions, including gift letters
- Prepare documents for client signature for new account openings/closings, account maintenance, regulatory and performance reporting, fee processing and researching client inquiries
- Monitor the receipt of new assets and track asset movement
- Investigate and resolve trade related issues and client inquiries
- Prepare client presentation materials including cash flows, estate flows, financial planning analyses and trust summaries using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Prepare basic financial plans using eMoney and other related software
- Maintenance of CRM data
- Manage tax and retirement payment processing and information for accountants
- Understand fiduciary policies/practices and prepare: Discretionary Action Request, Client Event Memos
- Assist in various compliance reviews, including internal relationship reviews, the annual account review process, Reg 9 reviews and periodic client mailings
- Prepare fee concessions, research fee‐related issues and perform reconciliations
- Manage office needs, including inventory reviews, expense report management, travel and entertainment support
- Participate in special projects on behalf of our clients and the firm and provide back up to other teams if needed
Specific Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years of experience in wealth management or trust administration preferred
- A commitment and passion to achieve a high level of client service
- Excellent attention to detail, multi‐tasking, and time management skills in a fast‐paced environment
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and internal team interaction
- Relative comfort with financial planning and fiduciary techniques and a willingness to learn more
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to understand and deliver complex information clearly and concisely
- Proficiency in capital markets, trade settlement, corporate actions, general banking and federal wire transfer system, DTC, and accounting principles a plus
- Ability to learn, adapt and become highly efficient on new and or changing systems, applications, policies and procedures
The base salary range for this role is: $70,000-$90,000.
