Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist in forming project teams and monitor project requirements by interacting with all stakeholders
  • Lead teams to deliver projects across one or more business units, leading resources, project schedules, and financials to ensure all projects enforce to the firm’s established governance and controls guidelines / standards
  • Work with portfolio Stakeholders to perform capability-based planning for Projects/Portfolio and align to portfolio strategy
  • Help define project/portfolio requirements for types of artifacts required to support the portfolio and partner with other departments and customers
  • Improve system by studying current practices and propose modifications
  • Drive planning process for assigned project/portfolio to meet Organizational deadlines and requirements
  • Serve as sponsor for project and portfolio review meetings using work products from project team. Ensure project and portfolio management standards are being followed
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution at all levels
  • Establish relationships and maintain credibility and influence with all projects leads and sponsors
  • Create, track, report, and monitor project/portfolio metrics
  • Identify, document and lead project risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Review and supervise baseline estimates for projects/programs in the portfolio
  • Track portfolio against approved budgets and report on actuals, forecasts, and variances
  • Develop action to bring Program/Portfolio on or under budget unless a variance is approved
  • Monitor resource utilization across the project and portfolio by continuously analyzing staffing requirements and resource allocations
