Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health & safety, engineering or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 2 to 4+ years of experience in EHS is required
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting geographically dispersed locations, preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience with on and off-road vehicle operations, preferred
  • Experience in the EV automotive industry is desired
  • Working knowledge of management systems, such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001
  • Working knowledge of US federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations
  • Familiarity with EHS software platforms
  • Basic knowledge of DOT regulations as it pertains to driving activities
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Support developing EHS management system and EHS compliance programs for Scout Motors Corporation and related field activities within the US
  • Assist to develop, implement, and continually improve EHS and Energy management system programs for Scout facilities
  • Support implementation of EHS software platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices appropriate for risks, hazards and conditions at Scout locations
  • Conduct EHS risk assessments as requested to ensure risks and hazards are identified and mitigated
  • Support identifying EHS training needs and establishing associated training programs, as assigned
  • Support the Environmental Compliance team with environmental permits and waste management activities, as requested
  • Support responses to incidents, participate in investigations and learning teams and communicate as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Experience in the EV automotive industry is desired
