Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience working with SCADA systems.
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Support operating facilities with upkeep/troubleshooting of existing substation controls systems, including RTUs, communications processors, meters, and protective relays.
- Develop and implement configuration plans for new project startup, including, but not limited to coordination with other utilities, development of points lists, RTU configuration, SEL RTAC HMI, and ancillary equipment setup to meet all relevant requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain instrumentation and control systems upgrades for power industry projects.
- Work closely with the Electrical Engineering group for data acquisition and controls configuration and maintenance.
- Review and edit as-built documentation and changes to drawings/documentation related to SCADA systems.
- Research, evaluate, and stay current on SCADA-related tools and technologies.
- Employ analytical, conceptual, and creative thinking skills to troubleshoot/improve SCADA system reliability to drive overall business and systems performance.
- Perform other duties assigned.
- Travel – 20%
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, etc.)
- Experience with IT networks
- Experience with various industrial protocols (DNP3, Modbus, OPC, IEC 61850)
- Programming language knowledge a plus (Python, C#, C, CR Basic, IEC 61131 or similar)
- Experience with configuration of communications processors (SEL RTAC), meters (PowerLogic, SEL), protective relays (SEL, GE)
- Experience with meteorological dataloggers (Campbell Scientific) and data acquisition systems.
