Requirements
- Current state licensure or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dedication to resident-centered care in a post-acute setting
Responsibilities
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve residents’ daily living skills and functional abilities
- Monitor and report resident progress to the Occupational Therapist
- Educate residents and their families on exercises, safety, and adaptive techniques
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure comprehensive resident care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments provided
