Requirements
- Enrolled full-time in college (carrying 12 or more undergraduate credits, or 9 or more graduate credits) in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related program
- Completed the 2nd Semester of college working towards a bachelor’s in science
- Be in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher)
- Two years of strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience, Auto Cad, and Solidworks
Responsibilities
- Performs Root Cause Analysis/Countermeasure implementation
- Supports RMA cost reduction efforts
- Support and improve testing efforts on the floor for reducing quality defects
- Analyzes data helping the support of control charts and setting up Quality improvements to reduce quality defects
- Performs defect/problem analysis with support of other process engineers
- Support and foster the Assurant Way and Culture, supporting Common Sense and Common Decency
- Shows commitment to company values, ethics, safety, security, and quality
- Help initiate new testing of devices
- Write work instructions to support Operations with guidance from other process engineers
- May support engineering in Cad layout
- May support engineering in 3D models and 3D printing
