Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 20 years of experience.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing integrated RF systems, including controls, power amplifiers, cavities, distribution, and diagnostics.
- Strong background in beam diagnostics, control systems, and feedback systems.
- Familiarity with accelerator-specific interlocks and safety systems.
- Expertise in the design and troubleshooting of precision DC and pulsed power supplies for electromagnets used in beam control.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with engineers and technicians.
- Proficiency in CAD.
- Familiarity with Productivity 2000 PLCs.
Responsibilities
- Serve in an ‘on-call’ capacity to troubleshoot existing electronic systems and contribute to the design of new systems, including RF systems, beam diagnostics and feedback systems, precision DC power supplies for both low- and high-current magnets, and pulsed power supplies.
- Provide temporary supervision and coordinate efforts with experts from other departments when needed.
- Access accelerator enclosures to install, diagnose, and maintain various electronic components.
- Stay current with required trainings.
- Comply with and uphold all environmental, health, and safety regulations and best practices relevant to this role.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
