Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Physics, Astronomy, Remote Sensing, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Imaging Science, Optical Engineering, or another related discipline, pursuing or conferred within 12 months
- 0-1 year of industry experience
- Relevant experience in academia setting with EO/IR systems including data analysis, modeling, characterization, design, and/or performance assessments
- Experience working in a laboratory environment on experiments relating to characterization of optical components, focal planes, and/or radiometric characterization
- Ability to work with programming environments and languages analysis, modeling, and testing capabilities including Matlab, Python, and/or C/C++
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and characterization of EO/IR collection capabilities through modeling, analysis, and laboratory capabilities
- Assist with developing and demonstrating testing capabilities for laboratory and field testing
- Help to implement, develop, and/or assess image processing and data analysis techniques for EO/IR data sets
- Work with team junior and senior staff across Aerospace and multiple customers on technical studies as both contributor and leader
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree in Physics, Astronomy, Remote Sensing, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Imaging Science, Optical Engineering, or another related discipline
- Current TS/SCI
