Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, any field; equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in insurance sales.
- Must have or be willing and able to obtain a Life & Health insurance license in their state of residence.
- Excellent listening and communications skills to effectively identify client’s needs, provide guidance, and close sales.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks to completion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work and collaborate with individuals or group at all organizational levels; ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire sales cycle from securing a request from a health insurance broker, to closing the deal.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of long-lasting health insurance broker partnerships.
- Manage the annual renewal process.
- Build and manage relationships with new and existing clients.
- Identify and develop cross-selling opportunities.
- Stay educated and understand products, market trends, and competitors within assigned territory.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the quoting process for assigned market(s).
- Participate in meetings as needed.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to US healthcare and Sales.
- Identify and report issues and opportunities for improvement related to processes and procedures.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to Sales processes, including reports, metrics, and improvement plans.
- Supporting and sustaining a positive work environment that fosters team performance through own work and behavior.
- Performing special tasks and assignments as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of work experience specializing in customer service, account management, or employee benefits is preferred.
