Requirements

  • 6+ years of accounting experience with a mix of public accounting and industry
  • Bachelor of accounting/finance degree or equivalent
  • Expertise in U.S. GAAP
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Experience in both technical and operational accounting
  • Experience working on public company audits with external auditors
  • Proven track record of working w/ multi-entity and global organizations
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and fluent in English
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly/quarterly/annual close process for our U.S. subsidiaries including variance analysis of key accounts
  • Own the external audit for our U.S. subsidiaries being the main point of contact with our external auditors
  • Assist the controllership team in the annual consolidated audit of our U.S. TopCo
  • Own the accounting policies and technical accounting memos for our U.S. subsidiaries ensuring that they align with our group policies and U.S. GAAP
  • Own the cash flow and working capital requirements for our U.S. subsidiaries working closely with our group treasury team
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and subsequent analytical analysis of accounts
  • Own OPEX for U.S. subsidiaries
  • Own intercompany reconciliations for our U.S. subsidiaries
  • Own controls and documentation for our U.S. subsidiaries that conform with the Sarbanes Oxley Act
  • Support the business growth in an organized and controlled way, partnering on operational improvements
  • Manage relationship with third party providers to support U.S. tax filings
  • Participating in finance transformation projects and other ad hoc specific projects
  • Supervising a small team

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent qualification
  • +2 years in similar positions at travel companies
  • NetSuite experience
  • Experience working on acquisitions
