Accounting Specialist

Bachelor’s degree Accounting.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

Maintain daily financial transaction processes and ensure they are recorded accurately; operate efficiently and meet company policy and legislative requirements.
Develop, implement and/or maintain one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, etc.
Requires accrual accounting and prepaid expense amortization experience.
Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
Perform general ledger reconciliations.
Provide record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.
May prepare federal, state and local reports and tax returns.
May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report expenses items, in accordance with the company policies.
May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders.
May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining A/P invoices in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.
Perform work in a specialized area of expertise that requires knowledge of fundamental themes, principles and concepts.
Build productive internal/external working relationships.
Occasionally lead the work of project teams and might formally train junior staff.
