Requirements
- High School Diploma, required.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in activities or a related field, required. Preferably in a geriatric setting.
Responsibilities
- Plans and implements creative outings, and social and recreational activities for residents in Oak Court and Terrace.
- Orders necessary supplies for those activities and maintains all work areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Assesses all residents; determines individual interests in physical, creative and spiritual needs.
- Motivates and assists residents to attend activities and offers positive reinforcement of the programs offered.
- Provides directions, instruction and demonstrations to individuals and groups in any resident activity.
- Provides staff and volunteers with directions and training as needed to assist in implementing programs and activities.
