Requirements
- Prior full-time actuarial experience (preferably 2 to 4 years)
- Have passed two to four Society of Actuaries exams and commitment to pursuing Fellowship with the SOA
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited degree program, preferably focused in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or related field
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable dealing with a broad range of stakeholders
- Ability to think creatively for new and improved solutions and to translate complex, abstract concepts and theory
- Analytical, problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Excel/VBA
- Computer programming skills
Responsibilities
- Assist in studies and analysis of overall block profitability, and pricing analysis. This includes client level pricing requests as well as product level pricing exercises.
- Summarize and model dental claims and premium information using SQL, Excel, Power BI, and other programming tools
- Assist with development of reporting metrics to provide information to senior management; and help influence strategic decision making
- Continually seek ways to improve efficiency of processes
- Establish framework of data governance
