Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree – Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
- JOB RELATED CERTIFICATION – COTR
- CPR CERTIFICATION
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
- Mathematical skills
- Patient Equip (Vitals, Suction, Defib)
Responsibilities
- Coordinates all medically appropriate clinical pre/post procedure activities, including clinical evaluation and consent, medical histories, and patient care.
- Communicates information regarding patient care, including procedural orders and notes, care plans, and discharge summaries. Assists physician in relaying treatment plans to nursing personnel, referring physicians and patient/family.
- Provides technical assistance to physician, when applicable.
- Assists in Department’s quality assurance programs.
- Participates in patient education.
- Coordinates clinical research projects, when applicable.
- Participates in operational assessments in search of revenue enhancement, expense reductions, consolidation efficiencies and billing opportunities.
