Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Federal of DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering field (i.e. mechanical, materials, electrical, systems, aerospace, etc.)
  • FIVE (5) years related work experience in weapon system acquisition or sustainment
  • Knowledge and experience in engineering principles, criteria, and procedures to acquire and sustain DoD weapon systems throughout their life cycles
  • Experience with the documentation and analysis of requirements, specifications, design, build, and test activities

Responsibilities

  • Focus on design assessment, integration, and management of complex systems over the product life cycle
  • Plan and review technical plans, systems integration, requirements verification and validation, technical designs, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analysis
  • Conduct formal and informal presentations, prepare technical reports, papers, and documents and participate in conferences and discussions related to assigned systems
  • Prepare documentation and presentation material for program milestones
  • Provide inputs on the evaluation of technical proposals
  • Gather acquisition program information; conduct planning and analyses for all acquisition phases; assist in acquisition and sustainment strategy planning; track, and schedule; implement contractor performance status systems; assist in establishing and maintaining databases; assist in developing and analyzing key program metrics; assist in developing and integrating risk management plans and strategies; support program briefings; and effectively communicate recommendations orally and in writing to higher organizational management.
