AF Acquisition Systems Engineer

Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Federal of DoD security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering field (i.e. mechanical, materials, electrical, systems, aerospace, etc.)
FIVE (5) years related work experience in weapon system acquisition or sustainment
Knowledge and experience in engineering principles, criteria, and procedures to acquire and sustain DoD weapon systems throughout their life cycles
Experience with the documentation and analysis of requirements, specifications, design, build, and test activities

Focus on design assessment, integration, and management of complex systems over the product life cycle
Plan and review technical plans, systems integration, requirements verification and validation, technical designs, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analysis
Conduct formal and informal presentations, prepare technical reports, papers, and documents and participate in conferences and discussions related to assigned systems
Prepare documentation and presentation material for program milestones
Provide inputs on the evaluation of technical proposals
Gather acquisition program information; conduct planning and analyses for all acquisition phases; assist in acquisition and sustainment strategy planning; track, and schedule; implement contractor performance status systems; assist in establishing and maintaining databases; assist in developing and analyzing key program metrics; assist in developing and integrating risk management plans and strategies; support program briefings; and effectively communicate recommendations orally and in writing to higher organizational management.

Experience in an acquisition program office (preferably fighter)
