AI Engineer – Front End

Requirements

• Minimum one year of professional work experience post-undergrad developing large-scale, AI-driven frontend applications is required
• Expertise in front-end development using JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like React, Next13/14, Angular, or Vue.js
• Deep knowledge of frontend UX/UI principles and experience integrating AI models into user interfaces
• Proficiency with libraries and frameworks supporting GenAI applications, such as TensorFlow.js, LangChain (for front-end tooling), and LlamaIndex (for web interaction)
• Experience designing and deploying frontend solutions optimized for cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Advanced knowledge of unstructured data visualization, including NLP-driven dashboards (e.g., sentiment analysis, entity recognition, topic modeling, and retrieval-augmented generation)
• Proficiency in working with APIs and integrating microservices frameworks into frontend architectures
• Demonstrated ability to query and utilize data from relational and NoSQL databases to create dynamic frontend experiences (e.g., interactive charts, search components connected to PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or ElasticSearch)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex backend or AI results into intuitive and actionable user experiences for bankers, asset managers, and other stakeholders
• Passion for building innovative, user-friendly, AI-focused front-end products
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on frontend development tasks
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Web Development, or a related field
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required
• Ability to work in the office in 30 Rock (our NY Headquarters) at least 3 days each week

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale AI and machine learning projects that deliver actionable insights and drive innovation
• Collaborate closely with investment bankers, portfolio managers, research analysts, data scientists, software engineers, and senior management across the Firm to deliver impactful solutions
• Demonstrate passion and interest in cutting-edge AI technologies
• Be a curious problem-solver that can spot gaps and opportunities to improve our business with a strong focus on cloud-native solutions, generative AI, natural language processing, and predictive analytics
• Couple your advanced technical and domain expertise with ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in the financial industry or a strong interest in finance
• Familiar with Databricks, Azure AI and Microsoft Copilot ecosystem
• Expertise in building advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and developing autonomous LLM agent workflows
• Experience with real-time AI applications and stream processing frameworks
