Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in aerospace or automotive
  • You are able to read, interpret and follow assembly and installation drawings to properly install different components on an aircraft/vehicle
  • You have the ability to work closely with engineers during prototype integration, testing and troubleshooting
  • You are experienced with aerospace/automotive tools/equipment and best practices
  • You will perform tool control, eliminate Foreign Object Debris, and keep your work area clean, organized, and free of any dangerous and/or hazardous material.
  • You have a strong and applied knowledge of complex assembly and installation processes, such as build record documentation, quality systems, and manufacturing execution systems
  • You are familiar with functional systems checks and non-conformity processes
  • You work well independently and in teams
  • You are fluent with mechanical and electrical assembly procedures
  • You are willing to travel with the aircraft to support ground and flight testing

Responsibilities

  • As part of the Production System organization, and deployed in a Final Assembly Shop, you will be assembling a novel type of aircraft targeting the autonomous UAM market
  • You will support aircraft integration, maintenance, operation, modification, and repair of a prototype electric aircraft.
  • You will be responsible for following standardized work processes, specifications and best practices.
  • You will work closely with team members and engineers to build and install aircraft structural components, wire harnesses, and avionics systems, along with troubleshooting issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an R&D prototype aircraft development environment
  • Working in assembly line a plus
  • Soldering skills
  • Familiar with composite aircraft and material handling practices
  • A&P license
