Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in design, repair, or manufacturing of hot gas path or combustion turbine components
  • Previous experience working across engineering and manufacturing to improve processes and maintain hot gas path turbine components
  • Knowledge of current gas turbine products, repairs network, Gas Power business, tools & processes
  • Previous experience with RCA, ER case and NCN business processes
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering responsibility for all GE Vernova heavy-duty gas turbine, hot gas path repair NPI and MYA program developments and qualifications.
  • Drive standard work across global team through lean practices utilizing lean roadmaps, value stream mapping, system development while ensuring proper allocation of resources to support process improvement, stability and continuous problem solving.
  • Work collaboratively with AMRT and RVS leaders to define program requirements, build L4 KPIs and action plans to ensure the service centers are equipped to deliver in line with business expectations.
  • Work with Product Line and Customer Service Engineering teams to address fleet issues.
  • Provide the appropriate level of communication with GE Gas Power management on program progress, challenges and issues, and accomplishments.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal, cross-functional, peer leaders in Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Services, and other functions to deliver on yearly continuous improvement plans.
  • Actively pursue becoming a more advanced lean practitioner by participating in Kaizen, leveraging available GE Vernova training and problem solving while expecting the same of the team.
  • Maintain a culture of safety, integrity, compliance, and engineering discipline. Support and communicate GE initiatives and organizational training requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous technical leadership experience in design or repair engineering focused on hot gas path or combustion components
  • Previous experience leading large cross functional engineering effort with strong inclusive leadership style that leads to the best solution.
  • Excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of delivering results and influencing teams in a dynamic business environment.
  • Previous lean experience including value stream mapping, kaizen leadership, and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, coaching expertise and ability to work across internal business functions.
