Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to understand data relationships, aggregate information and utilize SQL or other querying languages to research data issues and conduct root cause analysis
- 2+ years of experience in financial services, data management and business analysis
- Ability to translate business requirements into data requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and able to dissect complex ideas and concepts to provide clear, concise and relevant summaries and insights
- Results oriented; able to set and consistently meet high-quality standards while handling a variety of task and deadlines simultaneously, with ability to collaborate with many stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure to deliver within time-sensitive deadlines
Responsibilities
- Data Quality monitoring, observation identification and management
- Review and assessment of exceptions and observations management investigations and reporting, and overseeing and monitoring the remediation of data and processes, as required
- Manages and conducts detailed investigations and report findings based on data exceptions, identified observations, and ad hoc requests from critical Report owners and other users of shared data assets
- Provide monthly summary and detailed data quality reporting to business partners and stakeholders, including data quality exceptions, findings and the status of outstanding observations
- Based on root-cause analysis findings, propose process changes/improvements to address gaps or inconsistencies in data, processes and/or controls and raise awareness of best practices and approved provisioning points for commonly used data assets
- Maintain data quality tests and data quality observation repositories
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders and business partners, resolving conflicts/issues of medium complexity and escalating to others as appropriate
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree
- Ability to read and understand financial and regulatory documentation
- Ability to be able to think creatively and use ‘out of the box’ solutions where possible
- Change mindset and ability to apply a process improvement lens to all BAU activities
- Experience working with financial or credit risk data
- Knowledge of Collibra or a similar data management workflow platform
