Requirements
- 2 – 4 years of public/private accounting experience, particularly in asset management or alternatives.
- Exceptional technical skills related to information technology and systems.
- CPA or equivalent and strong U.S. GAAP and technical accounting expertise is preferred.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Possess an interest in credit or real estate markets, with a strong desire to learn about accounting for various financial products.
- Must have strong drive and initiative.
- Must be collaborative to effectively liaise with various internal departments and colleagues, while also being able to work independently.
- Role requires nimbleness and flexibility to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
Responsibilities
- Support the CFO and Controller in the financial statement close process for public and private funds.
- Manage and monitor day-to-day cash transactions.
- Interact and coordinate with multiple groups, such as Asset Management, Investment Team and Investor relations on ad-hoc and recurring requests/projects.
- Manage a comprehensive accounting model that monitors investments, debt, and derivatives.
- Support the CFO and Controller on quarterly external reviews and annual audits.
- Support the CFO and Controller in compiling internal and external reporting presentations and calculating key performance metrics.
