Requirements

Responsibilities

• Use state-of-the-art big data and machine learning tools to experiment with big data to produce actionable insights and elegant solutions for large-scale problems
• Mine and analyze massive amounts of unique internal and external data to gain deep business knowledge and insight into customer activity and usage behaviors
• Discover patterns and create features necessary to build machine learning models that match eBay’s inventory with customers’ demands
• Build quick prototypes and data visualization tables during preliminary data exploration procedures to decide on the feasibility and direction of proposed solutions
• Develop the core text-based deep learning models used to generate recommendations for eBay users
• Work with data scientists, engineers, and multi-functional teams to produce end-to-end production-ready solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members for translation of business problems into machine learning algorithms
