Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with a focus on interiors
- 10+ years of relevant experience as a project architect with a strong background in corporate interiors, including LEED-certified projects
- Licensed or registered Architect
- Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants
- Experience working directly with contractors
- Experience resolving complex technical and design issues
- Proficiency with Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of how buildings are constructed and ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly, and accurately describe the work to be done
- Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
- Understanding of sustainable and universal design concepts
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple aspects of client, project coordination, and general contractors including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants
- Participate in all phases of projects, from project documentation set-up and construction administration, including quality control and submittal reviews
- Provide project team coordination, specification, and material selections required for construction
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy of technical documents
- Guarantee the delivery of the architectural and/or technical aspects of a project
- Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
- Manage client relationships and team communication
- Resolve complex technical and design issues
- Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
- Process submittals, RFIs, substitution requests, etc. during construction
- Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
- Maintain design integrity, construction quality, and supervision of materials to meet standards
- Participate in office culture and initiatives
