Requirements

  • Active MD, DO, NP or PA license and board certified; Family, IM/Peds or Emergency Medicine
  • 5+ years of experience in ER, urgent care or similar setting
  • 3+ years experience leading others in a healthcare setting and experience overseeing multiple care sites
  • Understanding of financial statements, P&L management and HR business processes
  • Active listener with soft skills to build and maintain trusting relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal, time management, planning, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Deliver up-to-date, evidence-based, and compassionate care to patients in clinic
  • Perform procedures within scope of urgent care and/or primary care
  • Collaborate with clinic team to facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic
  • Supervise clinical care performed by PAs and/or NPs
  • Document care in timely and accurate manner
  • Promote professional development for Clinic Medical Directors and clinician team
  • Responsible for the daily oversight and clinical operations of the clinics in your assigned district
  • In partnership with the Clinic Medical Directors in your district, set, communicate and maintain the highest quality of care and safety standards
  • Routine reporting to the regional leadership team on the state of clinic operations
  • Accountable to drive the financial performance and P&L oversight by ensuring the budgeted productivity, labor, and other expenses are achieved
  • Supply management: Supervise clinic managers to review and routinely perform cost analysis and ensure supplies are adequately managed
  • Responsible for being up-to-date and knowledgeable with regard to diagnostic and procedure coding, and how it affects reimbursement (training staff as needed)
  • Promote staff contentment, ownership, loyalty, and happiness by modeling the behaviors yourself
  • Encourage agility, transparency and autonomous decision making within teams
  • Lead and take part in the coordination of community outreach and occupational health growth within your clinics
  • Define protocols and processes for providing continuity of care with external managers of surrounding primary care, specialty practices and other patient referral sources
  • Partner with regional leadership, people business partner and Clinic Medical Directors to elevate the employee experience in support of recruitment and retention within your district
