Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years relevant experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in product management or technical product ownership, with a strong focus on AI applications and technologies.
- Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, delivering complex AI products from concept to market.
- Understanding of machine learning and AI technologies, including familiarity with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into actionable product strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in market research and competitive analysis, with a keen ability to identify trends and customer needs that drive product innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and articulate the long-term product vision and strategic roadmap for AI applications in the Strategy & Innovation area of TMNA, ensuring alignment with Toyota’s overarching business objectives and market demands.
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, marketing, and business stakeholders, to gather comprehensive requirements and prioritize high-impact features for AI product development.
- Spearhead the Agile product development lifecycle, facilitating sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder reviews to ensure the timely delivery of innovative and high-quality AI solutions for Strategy & Innovation, especially internal platforms for Retrieval Augmented Generation chatbots that are accessed across the entire organization for general productivity.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and customer needs, driving innovation and differentiation in Toyota’s AI product offerings.
- Develop and oversee detailed product documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications, and ensure clarity and alignment throughout the development process.
- Serve as the primary liaison for all product-related inquiries, providing strategic updates to senior leadership and ensuring transparency and alignment across all levels of the organization.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI products, leveraging data-driven insights to inform iterative improvements and maximize user satisfaction and engagement.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the product team, promoting collaboration, innovative thinking, and proactive problem-solving to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with product development, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and ethical considerations in AI technologies.
- Represent Toyota at high-profile industry events and conferences, showcasing AI product innovations and establishing strategic relationships with key stakeholders and thought leaders in the AI community.
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in AI/ML (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning) or Product Management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, PMI-ACP) are a plus.
- Understanding of ethical considerations and regulatory requirements related to AI technologies, ensuring compliance and responsible innovation.
