- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in working directly with students, and an ability to interface with alumnus and corporate recruiters from across the globe.
- Familiarity with business school education, and industries/functions including consulting, finance, marketing and tech.
- Ability to work well with others while creating a high-quality and respectful work environment is required. Demonstrated ability to monitor and deliver results and measure opportunities for program improvement.
- Experience that demonstrates sound judgment, creativity, management, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work well within a team of professionals.
- Must be able to work independently while supporting the efforts of an overall team.
- Must be able to navigate and effectively use software systems, such as Qualtrics, Canvas and Microsoft Office Products.
- Must be available to work occasional nights to support program goals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive career management model for MBA students.
- Assist in the development of an industry-specific career development model for careers.
- Collaborate with administration, faculty and students across the Johnson School to ensure program goals are met.
- Provide one-on-one career advisement to MBA students within the SC Johnson College of Business community.
- Independently work with student organizations to build synergies that deliver nationally recognized ‘best in class’ professional development programming.
- Track and record employment outcomes for the SCJCB community using standards developed by the MBACSEA.
- Work personally and collaboratively to ensure post-graduation outcomes are successfully achieved.
- Build and maintain relationships with faculty, recruiters, and alumni to support the career aspirations of MBA students in SC Johnson College of Business.
- Monitor program success through the use of survey data and make improvements that support key performance indicators.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in career counseling, student affairs, higher ed administration, business administration or related degrees.
- An advanced understanding of career choices for MBA students, prior experience working with graduate and professional students and a proven track record of supporting student post-graduation outcomes.
